Prime Audio Soup (Vegetarian Soup by Boards of Canada) - Meat Beat Manifesto - Prime Audio Soup (1998, Play It Again Sam)
The original of Meat Beat Manifesto’s Prime Audio Soup is probably best known from its appearance in The Matrix; however the track was also given a remix by Boards of Canada. Their Vegetarian Soup reworking dials down the tempo significantly, and adds in a delicious mid-bass synth line, along with typically Boards of Canada samples, resulting in a fantastic remix that could be considered more of a new track in itself. It’s definitely not your standard Tiësto style ‘extract vocal hook and add 4/4 beat’ remix.
